Capacity Building Programme on Experiential Learning

Quality concern in education is among the priorities of Dayanand Public School as it plays a pivotal role in the development of teachers. The school is committed to make provisions for various training programs for teachers. In regards with this practice, a two days Capacity Building Programme on Experiential Learning was organised by the Dayanand Public School, Pandusar, Nabha. Total 64 teachers from DPS, Pandusar and DPS, Silver City participated in this program. Mrs. Anju Mehta (Principal, DCG International School, Rajpura) and Mrs. Monika Chawla (Principal, St. Joseph’s Sec. School, Chandigarh) were the resource persons from CBSE. The programme started with Deep Prajwalan and Saraswati Vandana. Worthy Principal Sh. Subash Chand Bhardwaj welcomed the resource persons and the teachers. The training program was nicely divided into eight sessions and spread over two days with exclusive focus on the Experiential Learning. Bloom’s Taxonomy and Kolb’s Cycle were explained through activities. It was an amazing program that infused energy and enthusiasm in the teachers. Certificate were given to the participants. The program ended with Vote of Thanks and a group photo.
In – House Training of Teachers (1 and 2 July, 2022)
In the First Session, teachers were divided in different groups and PowerPoint presentation was presented by teachers under the guidance of different heads. In the Second Session, News and Summary of books were discussed by all the teachers. At the end, Diagnostic Test were planned by all teachers.
On the Second Day in the First Session, Ms. Chandrika started with energetic Yoga and Pranayam. Ms. Amandeep Kaur hosted the program. The Vandana of Goddess Saraswati was conducted. Mr. Jaspreet Joshi sang Ekal Song. The speaker for first session was Ms. Chetna Jatwani discussed the topic ‘Online Transaction and Scams.’
The speaker for Second Session was Ms. Geeti Chopra who spoke on the topic ‘Socio – Emotional Development of Students.’ After that, Mr. Hemant Kumar involved all the teachers in the physical activities and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur conducted games for teachers.
In the Third Session, Mr. Som Nath sang a patriotic song. The speaker Ms. Manpreet Kaur told a Story of ‘Importance of Punya.’ This was followed by a Lecture on ‘Cancer and Yoga’ by Ms. Dinesh Kalra. After that, Ms. Sonia sang a patriotic song. Didi Geetanjali threw light on ‘The Importance of Music’ and how it is useful for peaceful life, relaxation and stress management. Respected Vice – Principal S. Pritpal Singh expressed his thoughts regarding the performances of all the participants in Dakshta Varg. Dakshta Varg ended with Vande Matram by Mr. Gurpreet Singh.
